NIC Conference Center
The Nebraska Alumni Association is excited to partner with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and Nebraska Innovation Campus to manage the new Nebraska Innovation Campus Conference Center. This historic building has been reconstructed to provide a unique full-service conference center to UNL and the Nebraska business community.
Sustainability at NIC
NIC models sustainable practices every day. NIC’s Centralized Renewable Energy System uses reclaimed, non-drinkable water from a nearby wastewater treatment plant to heat and cool its offices and labs. All buildings are built to LEED Silver standards and enable the campus to minimize its impact on the environment while maximizing the utility and well-being of occupants. NIC has committed to become a zero waste campus through a strategy that incorporates robust recycling and composting programs, sustainable purchasing policies and collaboration with its partners. With access to experts in the spheres of food, water and energy, NIC is well-positioned to continue developing new partnerships in sustainability research.
